Proud Achievement! Seven Sharia Economics Students Join Student Exchange Program to Malaysia

Yogyakarta (22/2) - Sharia Economics Study Program sent seven students from the fifth semester to participate in a student exchange program with one of the leading universities in Malaysia, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). The lucky students who were chosen to take part in this program are Isfiya Annabila, Izmil Najda Mafaza, Muhammad Hatta, Moh Arifal Abror, Muhammad Al Berto, Muhammad Zein Dedy Setiawan, and Nabil Ghazy Hamdun.
In the Student Exchange Student Release event on Wednesday (22/2) Dr. Abdul Qoyyum, SEI, M.Sc., Fin as the Head of the Sharia Economics Department and as the initiator of the exchange program said that there was a long process in preparing for the student exchange program both from selection to the administrative process on the new destination campus.
Furthermore, Deputy Dean 3 of the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business (FEBI), Dr. Ahmad Salehudin S.Thi., M.A., delivered his remarks. He expressed his great appreciation for the Sharia Economics Study Program which has worked hard in pursuing the exchange program. He hoped that the program could be used as a "roadmap" for similar programs in the future. This program is also the first step in the design of the internationalization program of the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business which is targeted for 2023. He ended his speech by bestowing his hopes for students, student exchange participants, who will become delegates of UIN Sunan Kalijaga on its new campus.
Dean of FEBI, Dr. Afdawaiza, M. Ag. In it, he also expressed his appreciation for the efforts to implement the program with all its challenges so that he felt it had made the faculty proud. "This program is quite proud that in other faculties it does not exist," he said. As Dean of FEBI, he offered everything that the faculty could support. He said, as a big hope, the student delegates who depart should take as much experience as possible while undergoing the program.
In this program, the seven students will attend lectures at IIUM for one semester, starting from March to August. When departing in the Student Exchange program, students will be accompanied by a companion lecturer,namely Lailatis Syarifah, M.A.
