Yogyakarta (29/03) - The Sharia Economics Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga (UINSUKA) won the title as the Study Program with the highest number of enthusiasts among all State Islamic Religious Universities (PTKIN) in Indonesia. This achievement was obtained by successfully ranking fourth nationally in terms of the number of applicants or enthusiasts through the National Academic Achievement Selection of State Islamic Religious Universities (SPAN-PTKIN) of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia in 2024.
For the academic achievement selection path without selection or written exam, UINSUKA's Sharia Economics Study Program received 4,897 applicants. With details of the capacity of 32 new student candidates.
Of the total applicants, the percentage of students who will be admitted to UINSUKA's Sharia Economics Study Program through this path is only around 1.54%. Thus, it can be interpreted that out of every 154 students who register, only one student has the opportunity to be accepted in this Study Program. This shows that the Sharia Economics Study Program at UINSUKA is increasingly recognized and in demand by the community and prospective new students.
The hope is that despite the intense competition, applicants and students who are interested in UINSUKA's Sharia Economics Study Program still have the enthusiasm and strong desire to learn and develop. Thus, they can become the best candidates who are able to compete at the national and international levels. It is also hoped that this success can encourage the development and improvement of the quality of the study program, so that it can make a greater contribution to the development of science and society.
