Proud Moment! Seven Islamic Economics Students Participate in Student Exchange Program to Malaysia

Yogyakarta (22/2) - The Islamic Economics Study Program dispatched seven fifth-semester students to partake in a student exchange program with the renowned International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). The fortunate students selected for this program were Isfiya Annabila, Izmil Najda Mafaza, Muhammad Hatta, Moh Arif Al Abror, Muhammad Al Berto, Muhammad Zein Dedy Setiawan, and Nabil Ghazy Hamdun.

During the Student Exchange Program Farewell Event on Wednesday (22/2), Dr. Abdul Qoyyum, SEI., M.Sc., Fin, the Head of the Islamic Economics Study Program and the initiator of the exchange program, highlighted the extensive preparation process for the student exchange program, from the selection of students to the administrative procedures at the new campus.

Additionally, Dr. Ahmad Salehudin S.Thi., M.A., the Vice Dean 3 of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI), delivered a speech expressing deep appreciation for the efforts of the Islamic Economics Study Program in facilitating the exchange program. He expressed hope that this program could serve as a "roadmap" for future similar initiatives. This program also marks the initial step of the internationalization program of the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, set for the year 2023. He concluded by expressing his best wishes for the students participating in the exchange program, representing UIN Sunan Kalijaga at their new campus.
Dean of FEBI, Dr. Afdawaiza, M. Ag., also expressed his appreciation for the dedicated efforts in implementing the program despite its challenges, which he believes has brought great pride to the faculty. "This program is truly remarkable, something that sets us apart from other faculties," he said. As the Dean of FEBI, he extended full support from the faculty and expressed a strong hope that the student delegates leaving for the program should endeavor to gain as much experience as possible during the program.

In this program, the seven students will attend classes at IIUM for one semester, from March to August. During their departure for the Student Exchange Program, the students will be accompanied by their lecturer, Lailatis Syarifah, M.A.
