Strengthening Solidarity, Islamic Economics Study Program and HMPS Islamic Economics Hold a Bonding Event for New Students

Yogyakarta (25/8) - Islamic Economics Study Program, in collaboration with the Study Program Student Association (HMPS) of Sharia Economics held a Bonding Event (Siang Keakraban/SIKRAB) for the new students of the Academic Year 2022 at Drini Beach, Gunung Kidul on August 25, 2022. The event was attended by approximately 100 new students, 20 HMPS officials, the head and vice head of the study program, and lecturers of the Islamic Economics Study Program. The SIKRAB activity was held to foster solidarity, strengthen relationships, and cultivate a sense of camaraderie among the new students, HMPS officials, and lecturers of the Islamic Economics Study Program, in preparation for the commencement of the Odd Semester of the Academic Year 2022/2023.

The event commenced with a gathering at the FEBI Building, followed by the transportation of participants to Drini Beach via two large buses. Upon reaching the beach, the participants were greeted by the stunning beauty of Drini Beach. To capture the moment, all participants took group photos before enjoying a communal meal. To foster camaraderie, the organizing committee arranged a series of engaging team games and awarded prizes to the best-performing teams in each game.

According to Moh Arifal Abror, HMPS Committee, " This Sikrab is truly remarkable. The games brought smiles to everyone, and the presence of the lecturers and their entertaining speeches was equally impressive."
Handika Pradanil, HMPS Chairman, expressed, "To me, Sikrab represents more than just Drini beach and Karyajasa bus. It embodies an openness akin to a cave illuminated by a sacred light, revealing the beauty within."

"Islamic Economics is so awesome. Right from the first meeting, it has been making a great impression on new students. The inaugural Sikrab event with the program head, vice head, lecturers, and senior HMPS ES members got us all pumped to contribute to this program. It is no surprise that Islamic Economics is the envy of other faculties. Hopefully, it is not just about healing, but also about the achievements and work that will come from the hands of Sharia Economics students," said Yumna Hanifa, one of the new student participants.
