Developing Student Skills: Sharia Economics Study Program Holds MBKM Socialization

Yogyakarta (04/02) - The Sharia Economics Study Program at Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University Yogyakarta held a socialization event for the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) Program on Sunday, February 04, 2024. This event was held online through the Zoom Meeting platform, aiming to provide students with an understanding of the mechanism for implementing the MBKM program in the Sharia Economics Study Program.

Participants who participated in this event involved 6th semester students. The event was also attended by the Head of Sharia Economics Study Program, Dr. Abdul Qoyyum, SEI, M.Sc, Fin. and Secretary of Sharia Economics Study Program, Riswanti Budi Sekaringsih, M.Sc.

Head of Sharia Economics, Dr. Abdul Qoyyum gave an in-depth explanation of the significance of the MBKM Program. In addition, he also discussed in detail the further understanding of MBKM and the objectives contained in it. The MBKM program includes several types, including Internship-Practice, Internship-Research, Internship-Young Entrepreneur, and Internship-Humanity Project. Accepted students will be positioned at internship locations that are in accordance with their abilities and expertise.

Through this event, the Sharia Economics Study Program aims to prepare students to gain maximum benefits from the MBKM program and achieve success in education and careers in the future. With various explanations and guidelines presented in this event, it is hoped that Sharia Economics students at Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta State Islamic University can be better prepared and able to undergo the MBKM program properly, so that they can gain valuable experience in various fields.
