Description This course includes analysis of public financing, government spending, taxes, subsidies, and regulations, and their impact on economic efficiency and social justice. Students will study the theory and practice of managing public budgets, as well as ways for governments to overcome problems of externalities, economic inequality and market failure. This course also examines fiscal policy issues and the role of the public sector in economic development.
