Description This course discusses basic economic concepts such as economic growth, inflation, unemployment, fiscal and monetary policy, and the role of financial institutions, but with an approach that is in accordance with Islamic sharia principles. The main focus of Islamic macroeconomics is to achieve social welfare in a fair and equitable manner, through a system that avoids riba (interest), gharar (uncertainty), and maysir (gambling), and supports the redistribution of wealth through zakat, infaq, and waqf.
