| Description | Courses that study sciences related to the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. This science includes the study of history, collection techniques, verification and classification of hadith. Ulum al-Hadith focuses on understanding the sanad (chain of narrators) and matan (content or text) of hadiths, as well as the methods used to determine the authenticity of a hadith, such as authentic, hasan, da'if, or maudhu' (false) hadiths. This course also discusses various scientific disciplines related to hadith, such as the science of jarh wa ta'dil (judgment of narrators), as well as famous hadith books such as Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. |
