Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business Conducts Textbook Writing Training in 2024

Yogyakarta (22/11) – The Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) continues to strive to enhance academic quality through the organization of a Textbook Writing Training program. This event took place on Friday, November 22, 2024, at the Grand Rohan Hotel in Yogyakarta, featuring an expert speaker, Dr. Hayat S.Ap., M.Si., widely recognized for his extensive experience in academic writing and publishing.
In her opening remarks, Dr. Sunaryati, the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, at FEBI, emphasized the crucial role of textbooks in the learning process. "Textbooks serve not only as essential guides for students and lecturers but also play a significant role in achieving program accreditation. Through this training, we aim to motivate lecturers to remain productive in producing high-quality academic works," she stated.
The training was attended by lecturers from the Sharia Economics Study Program, including:

● Dr. Taosige Wau, S.E., M.Si.
● Anggari Marya K., M.E.
With great enthusiasm, participants engaged in sessions designed to provide comprehensive guidance. Topics covered included structuring textbooks, effective writing techniques, and publishing strategies to ensure wide accessibility among academic and professional communities.
This training is expected to inspire lecturers to create textbooks that align with curriculum developments and the learning needs of the digital era. "We aim to ensure that the textbooks produced can serve as adequate primary references for students at FEBI and the broader academic community," said Dr. Hayat during his presentation.
Several participants expressed their appreciation for the training. One attendee, Drs. Slamet Khilmi, M.S.I., stated that the training provided new insights into producing engaging and easily understandable textbooks. "I gained many fresh ideas from this training. Hopefully, our future works will benefit students and the educational community," he said.
This initiative is part of FEBI's strategy to foster academic innovation and enhance institutional competitiveness. By producing high-quality textbooks, FEBI not only contributes to the development of Islamic higher education in Indonesia but also strengthens its position as a pioneer in Sharia economics-based education.
