Yogyakarta (1/12) - The Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta organized a public lecture with the theme "The Urgency of Competency Certification for Students' Competitive Advantage in the 4.0 era towards Golden Indonesia 2045" to enrich and prepare students' insights regarding the importance of competency certification. The speaker in this public lecture was Prof. Dr. AMILIN, MSI, Ak, CA, QIA, BKP, CRMP as BNSP Commissioner 2023-2028 and Dean of FEB UIN Jakarta 2019-2023 accompanied by Keynote Speaker Dr. Afdawaiza, S.Ag., M.Ag, Dean of FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The event was held offline at the first floor Convention Hall on Friday, December 1, 2023.

Dr. Afdawaiza, S.Ag., M.A. started the event by giving a speech as the Dean of FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga. In the event which lasted for approximately 2.5 hours, Prof. Dr. AMILIN, MSI, Ak, CA, QIA, BKP, CRMP explained the urgency of competency certification for students in the industrial era 4.0 which is very important in facing challenges and increasingly fierce competition. This era requires an increase in skills and knowledge that are relevant to technological and business developments. Through competency certification, students can concretely prove their skills and expertise to potential employers. The certification is proof that they not only have theoretical understanding, but are also able to apply the knowledge in real situations. In the midst of digital transformation and the industrial revolution 4.0, students' competitive advantage lies not only in their academic degrees, but also in their readiness to face the changing dynamics of the job market.

Towards the Golden Indonesia of 2045, where the country strives to achieve the maximum level of prosperity and economic progress, student success is key. Competency certification is an effective instrument to ensure that students not only graduate from college with a degree, but also have the skills needed by the industry. By having a competent workforce, Indonesia can more easily face global challenges, increase productivity, and create innovations that drive economic growth. Therefore, the urgency of competency certification for students is not only limited to individual competition in the job market, but also an integral part of the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045 to achieve sustainable progress and sustainability.
