Islamic Economics Students Win 1st Place in National Scientific Writing Competition at UNS

Students of Islamic Economics Study Program, FEBI, UIN Sunan Kalijaga, namely David Rizky Yulianto (ES 17), Mishbah Fikri Tanwifi (ES 17), and Mubasysyyratul Ummah Sapsuha (ES 17), achieved the 1st place in the National Scientific Writing Competition (LKTI) at the Accounting Society in Versatility (ACTIVE) 2019 event, held by the Accounting Department Student Association at Sebelas Maret University.

The national-level LKTI ACTIVE 2019 is expected to cultivate students' interest in writing, critical thinking, creativity, and innovation as they confront the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0. The theme of LKTI ACTIVE 2019 was "The Role of Financial Technology in Optimizing National Economic in The Digital Era."

"The rapid growth of Indonesia's financial industry cannot reach its full potential unless the community, as economic actors, is well-informed about the financial opportunities provided by each financial industry. The current lack of awareness stems from low levels of financial literacy and inclusion. Consequently, the community requires a practical and targeted solution to enhance literacy and inclusion regarding financial industry products," said Rizky, a member of the RnD KASEI ForSEBI staff and the Daily Board of the Campus Da'wah Institution at Sunan Kalijaga.

Given the current state of financial literacy and inclusion in the Indonesian community, Rizky's team, under the guidance and input of their supervisor, Achmad Nurdany, authored a scholarly work entitled "ICIF (INDONESIA CORPORATE INDUSTRIAL FINANCE): A SOLUTION TO IMPROVE THE GROWTH OF THE FINANCIAL INDUSTRY IN THE ERA OF THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION 4.0."

The National LKTI commenced with registration and abstract submission. In the initial stage, abstracts were screened, leading to the selection of numerous teams for the subsequent stage. The selected abstracts then underwent administrative selection and manuscript judging in the second stage. Only the top 10 submissions were selected to present their scientific papers and take part in the entire ACTIVE 2019 event.

Ultimately, 3 teams emerged as winners. UIN Sunan Kalijaga secured the 1st place, earning the UNS Rector's Cup. The University of Indonesia clinched the 2nd place, claiming the OJK RI Cup, while Gadjah Mada University achieved the 3rd place and Best Presentation Group, receiving the FEB Dean's Cup and the ACTIVE 2019 trophy.
